First off, you must have WinZip or WinRAR, pretty easy to get. =)

Then you must now find a car to download. I found mine at http://gta-worldmods.planet-multiplayer.de...ownloadcars.php

For this tutorial, I'll use the Honda Civic '08 which replaces the PREVION.

You'll also need IMG Tool...which is found at GTAGaming at the tools section of GTA SA

AND PLEASE, ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP OF THESE FILES!!:
carcols.dat(gtasafolder/data)
carmods.dat(as above)
handling.cfg(as above)
vehicles.ide(as above)
gta3.img(gtasafolder/models)

1. Open IMG Tool and select gta3.img(not the backup)




2. Extract your files to a folder or somewhere




3. Now search for the files your gonna replace. In my example I have to replace previon.dff and previon.txd
So I search[f2] and type in previon. It will directly go to the file which has previon in it. Now go to COMMANDS>REPLACE






4. Now what I will do is REPLACE the file with the one in the folder.




5. I also have to replace previon.txd so i press F3(find next) and also replace that


6. Now we gotta rebuild archive so go to COMMANDS>REBUILD ARCHIVE and wait for it to finish. It will take from 1min 30 sec up to 3mins(depends on how many mods you have installed currently)


7. Now your done with IMGTool! Congrats! BUT we aren't finished YET. But we are close to finishing =). Now probably there is a read me file in your folder so view it now. NAO! T.T. You'll probably find some strange lines in there.

8. If you see a line like this:
PREVION 1400.0 2000.3 2.0 0.0 0.1 -0.3 75 0.80 0.85 0.47 5 300.0 20.0 5.0 R P 8.0 0.45 1 30.0 1.3 0.15 0.0 0.28 -0.08 0.5 0.3 0.25 0.60 35000 40000000 700001 3 2 0
This will go into your HANDLING.CFG(found in the DATA folder)(open with notepad)
Now, find the car name(find it by F2) (for this example ill search PREVION) and replace that line with the line your told to put.

9. If you see a line like this:
436, previon, previon, car, PREVION, PREVION, null, poorfamily, 10, 0, 0, -1, 0.78, 0.78, 0

This will go into the VEHICLES.IDE file(also in the DATA folder)(open with notepad)
Search the CAR ID(f2)(for this example ill search 436)
And replace it with the line your told to put

10. If you see a line like this:
previon, nto_b_l, nto_b_s, nto_b_tw

This will go into the CARMOD.DAT file(also in the DATA folder)(open with notepad)
Search the CAR NAME(f2)(in this example ill search previon)
And replace it with the line your told to put

11. If you see a line like this:
previon, 1,1, 0,0, 67,67, 7,7, 89,89

This will go into the CARCOLS.DAT file(also in the DATA folder)(open with notepad)
Search the CAR NAME(f2)(in this example ill search previon)
And replace it with the line your told to put

12. YOUR DONE =)


With a lil time you can possibly mod all the cars in your game...I'm trying xD
